11-50The story of PPC Solar of solar installation begins nearly four decades ago, as Paradise Power Company, in 1979. Michael (Micha) Weinman, an electrical engineer, began using solar for off-grid sustainable living for his family at the Lama Foundation in Taos County, New Mexico. He went on to install a solar electric system for KTAOS, the world's first solar powered radio station, and work with Earthship Biotecture to create off-grid systems for the Taos Earthship Community. Years later, the company is now in the hands of Daniel Weinman, Michael's son. PPC Solar continues to provide high quality off-grid and grid-tie photovoltaic systems for homeowners, businesses, schools, and utility clients.
